Day One cancellation increases anticipation at the RYS Bicentenary International Regatta

With racing cancelled today on the opening day of the Royal Yacht Squadron’s Bicentenary International Regatta most crews could only stay ashore and watch the white caps of the waves as the Solent did its worst in the wind speeds gusting 30 knots, with the ebb tide kicking up some big seas in the usually sheltered stretch of water.

Live Tracking on the race course and IRC class splits announced

Crews and yachts are arriving in Cowes, UK for the Royal Yacht Squadron’s Bicentenary International Regatta whose opening race is planned for Monday, weather permitting, in Cowes. The provisional Class splits have been announced showing the three J-Class yachts as the first to start on familiar line of the historic castle built in the time of Henry VIII .
