Salvo
Salvo is a JND 35, designed by Joubert Nivelt as a one off new build for Bernard Moureau and originally named Gaia. She was launched in 2010 and bought by Peter and Alison Morton in February 2014. She was originally red and the hull has just been repainted grey. She most recently won Class 2 in the Warsash Spring Series. “I am looking forward to some interesting and varied racing” says Peter Morton.
The crew includes Andrew Cooper as tactician, Hugh Dudley, Hugh Welbourn, Richard Chapman, Libby Deegan, Rachel Peel, Edmund Peel and James Kirkpatrick. The crew is quite a family affair: Richard Chapman, Libby’s sister, is the Commodore of the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, while Rachel Peel, married to Edmund, is the owner’s daughter.
